The team are responsible for the delivery of our services and strategy. Together, they ensure we’re here for families when they need us most, that our volunteers are trained and supported and that our service remains effective, reaching as many in our communities as possible.

CEO
Sarah Kaiper-Holmes
Sarah started volunteering with us in January 2021 and joined the staff Team in January 2023. Sarah's background includes teacher of science and psychology; Homeopath; Doula, birth advocate and educator; and a Masters in Intellectual Property Law. She is a mum of 5 and, in her spare time, enjoys singing with Stratford Musical Theatre Choir and playing tennis.
Family & Volunteer Support Coordinator
Ros Bishop
Ros started as a volunteer with Home Start in 2020 and was recruited to the role of Family and Volunteer Coordinator a year later. Prior to working for Home Start, Ros was employed as an occupational therapist within the NHS, working in London and Gloucestershire. Ros is a mum to three daughters and alongside her Home Start role, Ros also runs a local toddler group. In her spare time Ros enjoys walking her two dogs and cycling.
Finance Manager
Mark Mathews
Mark joined HSSW in January 2025 as Finance Manager. He is a qualified ACCA and has undertaken various roles initially in accountancy practices and then various accounting roles within a range of industries, including manufacturing, school photography, chartered surveyors and landscaping. In his spare time, Mark enjoys playing and watching cricket as well as a range of other live sports. He has a keen interest in horse racing, owning some shares in horses, so is a regular visitor to their stables as well as attending race meetings.
PEEP Group Facilitator
Gala Nagra
Gala joined the Home-Start team as a Peep Group Facilitator in June 2026. She has over 15 years of experience working with children and families in nursery settings and is passionate about supporting parents and young children. After taking time out of her career to care for her two-year-old daughter, Gala ran family play sessions within the local community before joining Home-Start. Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, going out for dinner, and making the most of holidays and opportunities to explore new places.
Operations Manager
Kate Smith
Kate joined the Home Start South Warwickshire Team in August 2022. Kate originally trained as a Midwife and then subsequently moved into Health Visiting, working in both Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire. Prior to starting with HSSW, Kate was employed as an Antenatal Educator for a local company as well as training in Infant massage and Baby and Child first aid. Kate is a mum of 3 and in her spare time enjoys running, decorating her home and spending time with friends and family.
Family Support Manager
Amy Blatchly
Amy started with Home Start South Warwickshire in April 2025 as a Family and Volunteer Coordinator. Prior to this, Amy spent the previous 16 years working as a teacher and Early Years Lead at schools within Warwickshire and Birmingham. Amy is also a qualified Level 3 Forest School Leader Amy is a Mum to two boys, aged 5 and 2 years and in her spare time, she enjoys running, bootcamp sessions, going to festivals and holidaying in Cornwall.
Fundraising & Communications Coordinator
Andrea Lambert
Andrea joined the Home-Start Warwickshire team with a background in marketing and communications across the charity sector, NHS and corporate organisations. She has previously worked with a children’s safeguarding organisation and a charity supporting families affected by severe perinatal mental illness - a cause close to her heart. She is passionate about using her skills to support families through the challenges and joys of the early years. Outside work, she is a cat lover, children’s karate instructor, gym-goer and enjoys cycling and swimming.

PEEP Group Facilitator
Sadie Davies
Sadie joined Home-Start as a Baby Peep Group Facilitator in July 2026. She was formerly an Occupational Therapist with 13 years+ experience working with children, families and adults in health and social care. Passionate about child development and the power of play, she co-founded a local sensory play group. After a career break to raise her young twins, she is excited to support local families through the Baby Peep programme. Outside of work, she loves discovering open play spaces, taking Leonard the sausage dog for country walks, and never says no to chocolate!
Administration Assistant
Lucy Ashley
Before having her 4 children, Lucy worked in administration for a range of companies. In May 2022, as Lucy’s children began to fly the nest, she was on the lookout for a new challenge, and found Home Start! Initially as a volunteer and then as an employed team member, Lucy has taken on managing the ever-expanding administration. In her spare time, Lucy enjoys long adventurous walks with friends, relaxing at music gigs and catching up with the family.
Freedom Programme & Family Coordinator
Sarah Wilde
Sarah recently joined the team in September 2025. Having studied psychology and trained as social worker, Sarah has specialised in supporting women and families affected by domestic abuse for the past eight years. Sarah is a mum to two young girls and enjoys playing netball in her spare time.
PEEP Group Facilitator
Sarah Walker
Sarah has worked with children and families for over 30 years in nurseries and most recently within the NHS as a Community Nursery Nurse. Sarah has undertaken additional training in several areas, including Solihull Approach, Millpond sleep consultancy and Chatter Matters Speech and Language. Sarah feels that one of her greatest achievements are her twin daughters, now 28 years old, both also working with children and families. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys interior design and sitting enjoying her garden.

Mary Walker
I joined Home-Start in September 2026, having previously worked in the Early Years sector for over 10 years in a nursery setting. During this time, I gained valuable experience working alongside children and families, with a particular passion for supporting children with additional needs. I also work as a carer for children with complex needs, supporting both children and their wider families, alongside a part-time admin role. I really enjoy building positive relationships with children and supporting them through child-led play, giving them opportunities to grow, explore and discover something new.
Our Trustees
Our Board of trustees, like other volunteers, give their time and experience to make our organisation the best it can be. Our Board is responsible for setting the direction of our organisation, strategic decisions, governance and legal compliance. Working closely with the Leadership Team, Trustees are essential to the operation of our charity.
Selina Kermode
Chair of Trustees
Selina has worked in a variety of operations and management roles through the charity sector and HE, and is now trying out IT. Originally with a degree in chemistry, she has also lived and worked in China as an English teacher. Selina has two boys at primary school and was motivated to join Home-Start Warwickshire after experiencing the isolation of parenting through Covid lock-downs. Selina originally joined the board of trustees in 2021 as treasurer and became Chair in Aug 2024.
Amrit Midha
Treasurer
Amrit brings nearly 30 years of international leadership experience in financial services, with senior executive, board and regulatory roles across the UK, Europe and the United States. A two-time former regulator, his expertise spans governance, risk oversight and organisational resilience. He supports the Board’s strategic direction and governance, with a focus on financial oversight and long-term sustainability.
Raising a son in a two-dad family has given Amrit a personal appreciation of the importance of inclusive, non-judgemental support that recognises each family’s individual circumstances. This experience underpins his commitment to Home-Start’s work alongside families, helping parents grow in confidence and giving children the best possible start in life.
Susie Carr
Trustee
Parenthood is simultaneously one of the most joyous and challenging experiences life can offer. As a trustee, it is privilege to play a small part in helping Home-Start Warwickshire continue to be there for families in our local area. Having worked in the charity sector as a fundraiser since the '90s, I can contribute my experience of generating philanthropic income and it is a privilege to do so for such an important cause. Whether cultivating relationships with charitable trusts, major donors, legacy pledgers or regular monthly donors, my passion is connecting supporters to causes that make a difference. Thanks to our wonderful volunteers, Home-Start Warwickshire demonstrates again and again the positive, lifelong impact it makes on the children and families we support.
Caroline Dolan
Trustee
Caroline has over 20 years’ experience in the charity sector, leading successful fundraising teams across a wide range of causes, including disability, international development, sport and health. Passionate about supporting families in the early years, she trained as a Breastfeeding Counsellor and Postnatal Doula. She is currently Head of Fundraising & Infant Feeding at Elayos, combining her fundraising expertise with specialist knowledge to support vulnerable mothers and babies. Through volunteering with Home-Start, Caroline has seen first-hand how volunteers make a real difference to local families, helping parents build confidence and giving children the best possible start in life.
Rennie Boreham

I am a midwife, educator, and mother whose life has been shaped by compassion, community, and a deep belief in the power of early support for families. With over 20 years’ experience in NHS maternity care, higher education, and 4 years living and working in Sri Lanka, I have seen first‑hand how much difference kindness, connection, and practical support can make.I am passionate about empowering others, whether student midwives finding their professional identity, parents navigating the early days of family life, or supporting the dedicated team at Home-Start Warwickshire. As a trustee, I am committed to ensuring every family feels seen, valued, and supported, with trust, dignity, and human connection at the heart of everything we do.
Eloïse Fortat
Trustee
Eloïse brings over 16 years of senior marketing leadership to the board, having led marketing strategy across a range of industries and international markets. Originally from France and now based in Kenilworth, she is the Founder and Director of Chaville Ltd, through which she offers marketing and management consultancy alongside life and wellbeing coaching. She is interested in the space where commercial growth and human centred thinking meet, and believes that purpose and performance can, and should, reinforce one another. She is a mum of two and, in her spare time, enjoys meditation, journaling, and exploring new places in the world.
Su Search
Trustee
Su has volunteered with Home-Start since January 2021 and became a Trustee in January 2026. Her career began in children’s nursing before moving into school health, supporting families in deprived areas of Liverpool. She later built a successful career in Occupational Health, running her own company for 20 years before retiring. Outside Home-Start, she enjoys gardening, her local book club and National Trust activities, as well as spending time with her grandchildren and supporting their sporting interests.
Kelly-Ann Jones
Trustee
Kelly is a qualified mental health nurse, working with children young people and families in various roles through her career. She also has a masters in Psychology. Kelly found herself with some time to spare and wanted to put it to good use in the volunteer sector, now supporting Home-Start Warwickshire as a trustee taking responsibility for safeguarding. Outside of this, Kelly enjoys spending time with her children, husband and dog; being out in nature especially forests and near water, and visiting more of the UK every year.
